Friends of ASCCA: Chad Dreams of a Cozy Christmas

Hey everyone!!

It’s Christmas time, and during ASCCA’s off-season, it would be a perfect time to have Frith Landing reserved for Christmas. Frith Landing is located right on the ASCCA grounds near the pond. Think about what a fun place to imagine Santa Claus stopping by to deliver gifts or even a spot for New Year’s Eve fireworks. If you wanted to make something like that happen, you would need to reserve it with Matt first! Matt would get everything set up and ready before your visit. Remember, pets are not allowed at Frith Landing.

At Frith Landing, you would have access to a TV, Bluetooth speaker, Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette (air fryer, microwave, refrigerator), along with beds and an accessible bathroom. You would be responsible for washing dishes and setting the garbage outside before checking out. Quiet hours are observed from 11 PM–7 AM.

While staying there, you could watch Christmas movies and shows (Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Elf, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, A Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, etc.). Also, don’t forget that Christmas with the Tabernacle Choir and the St. Olaf Christmas Festival will air on PBS, 25 Days of Christmas is on Freeform, and holiday movies are on Hallmark Channel until New Year’s Day.

We are halfway through the off-season, and our full-time staff is working in the office and doing maintenance for Summer 2026. Please consider donating to the Jingle Jump—staff will be jumping into the cold pool on December 13.

The Dining Hall is almost finished, and I cannot wait to be back in there soon. Getting the Dining Hall back will be the best Christmas gift after the June 29 lightning strike that closed it and canceled Session 3

Don’t forget, Summer Staff 2026 applications open January 1, 2026.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Camp ASCCA!
