Friends of ASCCA: Chad Looks Forward to Summer 2026

Hey counselors and friends!

I was able to sign up for Summer 2026 early since I was at Camp ASCCA during Session 3 when lightning struck the dining hall. When I registered, I signed up for Session 3 again, and the theme during that week is going to be decades.

If you registered for Summer 2026, Matt and Amber will review applications soon, and you should receive a confirmation packet via email in November if you secured a spot. In May, when summer gets a bit closer, you can log back into your account and complete the medical part of the application.

Once you’re accepted to camp, you’ll receive a packing list. I like to pack comfortable clothing with tennis shoes or Chaco sandals, dress-up clothes for concerts, and a themed outfit for the dance. You’ll want to remember to bring a pillow, blanket, and water bottle. You can also pack notebook paper, pens, coloring books, crayons, or any other comfort items.

Check-in for camp is on Sundays from 2–5 P.M., and you’ll need to stay with your caregiver throughout the whole process. Check-out begins on Friday mornings at 9:15 A.M., and whoever is checking you out will need to have a photo ID in order to sign you out and receive your remaining medications.

If you’re a first-time camper, your parent or caregiver will have to have your medications blister-packed. You can also call the camp office if you have any questions or want to schedule a tour.

I’ll be at Camp ASCCA for Fall Family Weekend on October 17–19. Since the dining hall is still under construction, we will most likely be having catered meals from local restaurants and will be eating in the basement of Lions Lodge.
