Friends of ASCCA: Chad Shares About Summer Check-In & More

Hey Counselors and Friends!

Here is the summer check-in recap:

Upon arrival, Chris and Natalie checked everyone’s temperature while still in the car. Once parked, you would find Pearl, Logan, and Abby, who helped place luggage at the designated station before heading to the gym.

Before reaching the gym, campers stopped at the T-shirt window to pick up merchandise from Elise and Dana, while Emersen and Jadon took photos at the photo booth. From there, it was off to the gym! First stop was Scarlett for name tags, then Ashlyn for emergency contacts, followed by Jon Dollar for special diets and a quick visit with the nurse.

Next was the dining hall (or the game room during Sessions 4–7), where blister-pack medications were dropped off with Emerson, Maddie, Caroline, Justin, and Rebecca. Once that was complete, it was time to head to the cabins and meet the counselors!

I’m hoping to come back to Camp ASCCA for Fall Family Weekend since Session 3 was called off. There won’t be water activities or the demo farm this time, but I’ll get to see at the Frogeye Farm animals next summer. During the weekend I hope there is a talent show, program rotations, a concert, and free-choice activities.

Check-in for the seasonal weekend begins Friday at 4 PM, and check-out will be Sunday at either 10 or 11 AM.

Before registering for Summer 2026, keep in mind that Session 2 is now Mix Week (Child/Adult), Sessions 1, 3, and 7 are Adult Week, Session 4 is Teen Week, Session 5 is Kids Week, and Session 6 is Young Adult Week.

Session 3 campers will get to register one week early on 9/24/25, while registration for everyone else opens on 10/1/25.
