Fun At The Splash Pad

Session six is quickly coming to a close; however, our campers still have many activities to undertake! Today was such a beautiful day and ASCCA campers were able to enjoy it to the fullest.

For free choice, we were able to participate in activities such as the pool, putt putt, and gardening. We also offered rides on the fishing boat and the ever famous splash pad!

The splash pad is a great way for campers to cool off during the day. It is completely accessible, complete with camp wheelchairs so our campers don’t have to soak their own to participate.

Everyone loves the splash pad for different reasons; some come to relax, some come to play with the water guns and buckets, others come and play with their counselors.

One scenario I’ve seen in action several times this week is playing pretend at the splash pad. Campers and counselors have taken turns being cops, robbers, movie stars, directors, and airplane pilots.

This is a great time for our campers to let go and enjoy being with their friends and that’s exactly what they do!
