Gifts From the Girl Scouts!

The Girl Scouts of Troop 7282 were back at Camp ASCCA ready to annihilate the heat! I’m sure everyone remembers when the girl scouts came to the very first day of camp this summer, and they definitely kept their promise to come back. This time they came with a project for the campers and even more cookies and lemonade.

The project was to tie dye a pillowcase, and coincidentally, that is one of this week’s themes for Teen Week. I was so excited to see the campers participate in this project. It truly showed their creativity from the way their names were wrote to the colors they picked. The Girl Scouts set up three stations: a name station, rubber band station, and dying station. It was so organized so the campers could easily get through with no messes or confusion. They ran all the stations and they were so helpful with the campers that they would do anything they asked of them. Once the campers finished, the girl scouts took them so that they can wash and dry them to bring them back by the end of the week.

Camp ASCCA truly appreciates the support and encouragement from Girl Scout Troop 7282. It was such a treat to have you all back! You can keep up with everything during Session 3 by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Flickr.
