Girl Scout Troop 7282 Seeks Girl Scout Silver Award at Camp ASCCA

On Sunday, Girl Scout Troop 7282 traveled to Camp from Auburn, Alabama, to visit our campers and be a part of the check-in process. The girls setup a table of lemonade and shortbread cookies to give to campers and their families as they passed by the pavilion on the way to the dining hall. They even setup new birdhouses across the ASCCA campus with the help of troop leaders.

According to one of the troop leaders, Troop 7282 is working towards the Girl Scout Silver Award, and it is known as the “highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn.” In order to earn the award, each Girl Scout Cadette must work within their community and receive credit for completing 50 hours of service. Troop 7282 has chosen Camp ASCCA as their community project, and they are expected to be working with us for several months. To learn more about the Girl Scout Silver Award, click here.

We would like to thank Troop 7282 for joining us for the start of Session 2 and for the sweet treats that helped campers and counselors beat the heat!
