Good Morning Camp ASCCA

Good Morning!
We are celebrating Independence Day today! Campers and counselors made their way to flag raising this morning dressed from head to toe in Red, White and Blue. Everyone looked so good in their American flag t-shirts, shorts, socks and accessories.

When everyone arrived at the flag pole the boys of Redstick and the girls of Cherokee began our morning tradition of the raising of the flag.

Camper, Carter Grantham and his counselor Marquis Russell raised the flag and then Carter lead the camp in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The quote of the day was read by Breanna Hill.

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out.”
-Dr. Seuss

Patrick Johnson gave us the joke of the day.

Knock Knock.
Who’s there?
Mr. Potato Head.
Mr. Potato Head who?
Mr. Potato Head Johnson.

I love flag raising and getting to see these amazing campers step out of their comfort zones to become leaders.

I am inspired more and more each day by our campers and what amazing things they have to offer this world. They are smart, funny, talented and have so much love to share.

We here at Camp ASCCA hope you have a great day, but we have to go for now because it’s time to play!
