It’s the first full day of orientation and counselors are excited to be here. They not only learn about Camp ASCCA, but also about themselves and their fellow counselors.
Group elements are games and activities used to teach the importance of communication among counselors.
Program staff took counselors outside and gave the teams tasks to complete. In some scenarios the counselors were not even allowed to talk.
They learned not to take on hard tasks by themselves but to ask for help and trust one another.
