This weekend is Camp ASCCA’s Fall Weekend and last night we had special guests and they brought ICE CREAM! Members of the Alexander City Lodge joined us for supper and then served us delicious ice cream for desert.
Yesterday was the last day of Red Ribbon Week and the Alexander City Elks Lodge ended their Red Ribbon festivities here at camp. They gave all of us red bracelets. By wearing these red bracelets we all said NO to Drugs and YES to Ice Cream!!!
We had many flavor choices to choose from last night (Moose Tracks, Strawberry, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Banana Split and the list continues…) thanks to one of their members Mike Lucas. The Alexander City Elks Lodge bought the ice cream from Mr. Lucas who owns an ice cream shop, Cream at the Creek, located around Wind Creek State Park.
The Elks of Alabama are important members of our Camp ASCCA family and have been for years. We cannot thank them enough for all they many things they do for us here at Camp ASCCA and we are so glad that we got to visit with a few of the people that help to make Camp ASCCA such a special place for us all.
