The Mt. Hope area in Lawrence County may be small in size but it is huge in heart. The reported population is a little less than 2,000 but together, they have built a strong community. I know because I have had the pleasure of speaking for several churches in the area and I always have a ball.
On February 27th, I was asked to participate in a very special event at the Harris Chapel in Mt. Hope. For several years now, Kim Sutton has been building upon an idea she had years ago to host a girl’s conference at the chapel. Her idea has grown has grown larger than she ever dreamed with this year’s attendance reaching nearly 200 ladies of all ages. A friend of mine named Michelle attended this event with me. The girls in the audience had a great time hearing about camp and how to apply mascara without hands!
