Head ’em up, Move Out.

Session 7

Well guys, this is it. Today concludes Camp ASCCA Summer 2012. Though I could write forever about how much this place has changed my life and how it changes people’s lives everyday, I’ll spare you the hours of reading. Besides, Jackie described it so well in her last post!

What I will say is that this week has been a fantastic way to end the summer. All the ASCCA campers were absolute joys to have and the AHIF campers and buddies were just so fun to talk to and hang out with. I knew when I was moved to tears on the very first night by hearing some of the inspirational stories from AHIF that this week was going to be one of my favorites. Sure enough, I have cried all throughout the week due to inspiration, happiness, and today of sadness at having to leave this incredible place.

The campers this week and all year have given me so much joy and have molded me into a much more understanding and inspired person. There are many gifts that Camp ASCCA gives to campers and their families, but it also gives so much to the staff. I can truly say that this summer, this place, and all the campers have changed my life forever and I am so, so grateful for the opportunity to work with and for such great people.

Thank you for a great closing week, Session 7 & AHIF and for a fantastic summer, Camp ASCCA!
