Camp ASCCA is thrilled to welcome back Hayden and horses Lexi and Leo to kick off this summer’s equestrian program! Campers enjoyed saddling up during yesterday’s free choice activities.
The equestrian program is annually sponsored generously by The Meredith Birchfield Foundation!
Riding (or simply being around) horses is extremely therapeutic for our campers. Horses exude a calm presence, creating a special bond between camper and horse. A typical session includes not only riding the ring, but also a special time of petting and getting to know the horse. If you’re lucky you may even get to feed Lexi or Leo a treat!
