Campers and counselors had the opportunity to participate in the Banana Olympics where their banana competed in various challenges. After the competition came to an end, everyone gathered together in the gym.
With celebration music playing, friendships blossomed between this week’s campers, counselors and program staff. They were so excited to work together in teams, gaining skills that will be influential in their lives. They practiced teamwork, sharing, patience, and so much more. Best of all, they learned to come together at the end of it all, supporting each other and dancing it out!
It’s always a party at Camp ASCCA and there is a reason for that. It is because no matter the result of a game, campers and counselors find the beauty in life. Even with hardships happening all around, there is always something to celebrate.
Last night, we didn’t find out who won. We just cheered and danced, and enjoyed spending the evening together. That is what it is all about.
