Today, Camp ASCCA celebrated our nation’s freedom and our first full day of session 1 with tons of Fourth of July activities! This morning, we kicked off the day with our regular camp programs; after lunch we moved on to our Fourth of July Carnival!
Campers were able to play all sorts of games from the bean bag toss and ski ball to the cake walk and bowling! Many of our campers sported colorful artwork on their cheeks thanks to our team of artistic face painters. Every camper collected great prizes as they showed off their skills from station to station!
Tonight’s activity was the long awaited FIREWORKS SHOW! All of Camp ASCCA gathered at the lakeside amphitheater just before sundown. We enjoyed live music, dancing, watermelon, and popsicles as we waited anxiously for the show to begin!
Colors filled the sky along with the cheers of campers showing their approval; this truly was a show worth waiting for! We couldn’t have asked for a better Fourth of July celebration, and we look forward to what the rest for the week holds for us in session 1!
