For the second year in a row, the Ladies of 798 have supported Easter Seals Camp ASCCA! This is an amazing group of women (and men!) who support organizations who serve others in need. The contribution to Camp ASCCA will go to our “Campership Fund” which allows children and adults with special needs and need financial assistance to attend Camp ASCCA this summer.
Never heard of the Ladies of 798? Here is a description of their organization and you can always always visit their website here.
Our organization consists of pipeline spouses, of all union trades, who have banded together, and are united like a family. We pledge to represent our organization with integrity, dedication, caring, and loyalty. We are committed to meeting the needs of our pipeline family and surrounding communities by reaching across America with our spirit to serve. Our vision is to lend a helping hand to those in need, by assisting people to live healthier and happier lives through our investments in the communities we serve. We are constantly looking for ways to reach out to all pipeline families for their support, help, and ideas. We are always looking for people who want to be associated with our organization and that share the same vision in making our organization successful. We hope that you will join our endeavors!
The Ladies of 798 held their 2013 Steward School April 8-12, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. It is here that they raised money for their 2013 charities with their annual basket auction. Here is a note from the organization about the event:
The Ladies of 798 would like to take time to thank each and every one that made this past week such a successful event. During this year’s 2013 Steward School Week, we raised approximately $62,000 with our Annual Basket Auction! A great thank you to all that contributed baskets, donations, and funds to make this happen! We would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work, commitment and dedication for making this past week an event to remember!
Ladies of 798 Secretary is Bonnie Turner. Bonnie is a resident of Alabama and was able to visit Camp ASCCA this week to make a donation from the Ladies in the amount of $5,500! This is more than double than last year’s donation! Thank you!
