Lady Admirals experience Camp ASCCA

Which Lady Admirals?… The Bayside Academy High School soccer team!

On July 22-23, 2013, 11 members from the Bayside Academy High School (Daphne, AL) soccer team visited Camp ASCCA. The group, accompanied by Coach Josh Montgomery, spent two days learning about Camp ASCCA and its mission as well as interacting with campers and staff members. Don’t worry, they got to have a little fun too!

The visit began with Allison Wetherbee, Camp ASCCA’s Director of Community Relations, along with Camp Director Matt Rickman, speaking to the ladies about topics surrounding disability awareness. Allison also got to share her story of her life and her long-standing relationship with Camp ASCCA.

The teammates then got to join various camper groups during Session #4 to participate in activities and also to see first-hand, what Camp ASCCA means to so many people with disabilities that visit each year.

And we can’t forget that two mom’s came along on the trip as well! Angie Watts and Pam Stevens may have had more fun than the girls! We thank them for their friendship and support.
