Lee County Young Leaders joined us at Camp ASCCA on September 16 for a day filled with team-building activities! Each activity was designed to strengthen communication, leadership, trust, connection, and collaboration. Their day at Camp ASCCA also served as the first session to kick off their year-long program.
The Lee County Young Leaders Program is a county-wide leadership experience for high school juniors and seniors across Lee County, Alabama. Through hands-on sessions, small-group discussions, and real-world experiences, students build leadership skills while forming meaningful connections with their peers and some of the area’s most respected business, nonprofit, and community leaders.
Participants gain practical tools in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and civic engagement while learning more about how their community works behind the scenes. By the end of the program, students leave with a strong professional network, a deeper understanding of local leadership, and the confidence to step into future roles on boards, committees, and service organizations.
The skills and experiences these students gain will stay with them long after their time in the program is over. We’re always excited to see young leaders put those skills into action, and we look forward to welcoming Lee County Young Leaders back to Camp ASCCA! We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue building this relationship and supporting the next generation of leaders in our communities.
