Each day during the week after morning rotations the program staff gives out “ASCCA Achievements.” These awards go the camper that showed excellence, cheered on their friends, and overall had a great time at the activities.
As the week winds down, we have an award ceremony where the program gives an overall certificate of achievement to the camper that stood out the most. There is also an award for best female and male camper, best program staff, and best counselor.
The Arts & Crafts award went to Cyrus. Cyrus loved making the superhero figures and constantly had a smile on his face. The Outdoor Education award was presented to CC, he had a great time with our nature project. The Aquatics award was given to Tracy. Tracy was at the pool any time it was open, soaked up the sun, and had a blast. Lastly, the Adventure award was given to AJ. AJ participated in the three ziplines at Camp and the Big Swing.
The Best Female Camper award is given to the camper that has an energy like no other, they encourage others, are always joyful, and this year it was no exception. The Best Female Camper for Bonus Session was DD! To know DD is to love her. She had a smile on her face all throughout the week, and it was so contagious.
The Best Male Camper award was presented to Dalton. Dalton is always moving around with the biggest smile on his face, and you can’t help but to smile and laugh when you’re around him. Dalton is one-of-a-kind, and we would not have it any other way!
The Best Counselor and Best Program Staff awards are voted on by the summer staff members. To be the recipient of one is an honor to know that your peers notice you doing an exceptional job. Kate was awarded the Best Program Staff Award. This is Kate’s second summer at Camp ASCCA, and she always goes above and beyond to help out everyone, and at her activity. Justin was given the Best Counselor award. This is his first summer, and already he gets what Camp ASCCA is all about. Justin was attentive to not only his campers, but everyone else as well.
We are so proud of our ASCCA Achievers, and we know that this is going to be the best summer yet!
