We are so thankful to have Nurse Savanna Wooley. She has been with us this summer and is loving her first summer here at Camp ASCCA. Savanna attended the University of West Alabama and graduated with her nursing degree in 2018. Many of her close friends have worked here at ASCCA and encouraged her to apply to be a summer nurse; she applied and it has been one of the greatest decisions of her life.
When Savanna is not at Camp she is a nurse at Hunter Creek Health and Rehab, a nursing home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Her heart for people and love for caring for others shines through her every action and we are blessed to have her here this summer.
One of nurse Savanna’s best memories this summer was getting to laugh with some of the guys in the Cheaha cabin while on night duty. Nurse Savanna feels that working at Camp has helped her evolve into a person of greater strength and confidence and will use her experiences here in other aspects of life.
She says that “Camp is truly life-changing and unlike any other experience in the world.” She says that “Camp is proof we all offer something but it is only together that we make something truly beautiful.”
