For his fourth summer as an ASCCA staff member, Billy is excited to be a member of our Counselor Staff. Outside of ASCCA, Billy is an aspiring musician with hopes of making a name for himself in the rap industry. He became interested in pursing a career as a musician in middle school after discovering the depth that art can serve as an outlet. For the past six years, Billy has actively pursued music as well as gaining other experience in the music industry.
Billy originally heard about Camp ASCCA while he was a teacher’s assistant (TA) for his high school’s special education class. During his time as a TA, the class went on a field trip to ASCCA where Billy had the opportunity to network with our full time staff. Billy holds camp close to his heart and describes the atmosphere as “something truly amazing that can only be felt and not put into words”. During Camp Seale Harris and Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections Camp, Billy fulfilled the role of our Sports and Games Program Staff member. He loved getting to interact with all of the guest camps’ campers everyday, but he is eager to step into his Counselor position for ASCCA and is looking forward to having the ability to form close relationships with our campers again. A boring fact about Billy is that he sits in his room every single day of his life.
