We cannot thank our Amazing Nursing Staff enough! They do so much for us here at camp, they not only make sure that we are all safe and healthy…they also keep us nice and cool on hot days by delivering popsicles to us during activities. This year we have 2 returning staff and 1 new staff member accompanying Camp ASCCA’s full-time nurse, Abbey Love Murray.
This summer we have returning staff Morgan Rogers from Scottsboro, AL and Tyler Hoyt from Birmingham, AL.
Nurse Morgan graduated from Auburn University in 2014 and just recently got accepted into the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University. This is Nurse Morgan’s second summer as a Camp ASCCA nurse and we are so glad she is back.
When asked about her favorite activity at camp, she said that tubing was her favorite because of all the fun the campers have while being pulled across Lake Martin and because all you can hear is the laughter coming from the campers.
Nurse Tyler was a counselor here at Camp ASCCA last summer and couldn’t resist a second summer with his ASCCA Family. Nurse Tyler graduated from Jacksonville State University in April and is a great addition to the nursing staff this summer.
His favorite camp activity is the Zipline because it shows how our campers face and conquer their fears while hear at camp as well as showing them that they have no limitations as long as they believe in themselves.
