Hello once again! I’m Clayton Smith and this is my fourth summer as part of Camp ASCCA’s Public Relations Staff. I am nineteen years old, originally from Dadeville, Alabama, and currently a sophomore at Columbia College Chicago where I study filmmaking (or Cinema Arts + Sciences, the fancier name). As a filmmaker, I’m always looking for new opportunities to take my craft to the next level. Whether it be creating narrative films, documentary work, or even promotional material, I’m always searching for new ways to use my talents.
As for this summer, this is shaping up to be quite a different summer for me. In a good way! Rather than taking on all of the duties of a regular PR member (writing blogs, taking photos, creating videos), I will be mostly be focusing on the video aspect of the job. This will give me much more time to focus on creating the best possible videos I can make. I’m shooting for a three videos per week schedule, so expect the YouTube channel to be busy these next few months! I hope to create videos that truly encapsulate what Camp ASCCA is all about. Videos that I hope people can watch many years from now and still gain that feeling of how wonderful this establishment truly is.
With that said, be sure to stay tuned to Camp ASCCA’s YouTube channel to see my future content. As well as be sure to check out Flickr, Instagram (@campascca) and the website for great work from my fellow PR members (as well as an occasional photo or blog from yours truly).
I always try to top myself with each new summer, and this one is no different. Let the fun begin!
