This week we are getting to know our 2019 summer program staff. Meet Jon Dollar! Jon is from Ashville, Alabama and will be working alongside our aquatics staff and will be a lifeguard. Jon will be starting his fifth summer at Camp ASCCA.
Jon grew up attending Camp Seale Harris and learned about ASCCA through that. He fell in love with Camp and what we do, so he decided to apply and join the team. His favorite part about Camp ASCCA is meeting new people and being able to connect with old friends.
Jon is looking forward to actually being hands on this year with the aquatics staff. He can’t wait to get to ride in the tube with the campers on the lake and help them on and off the water slide. Jon is most looking forward to gaining more knowledge for his future career.
“I always joke around with people that I want to be a full-time camper,” he says. He is excited to have all of this experience to apply to his future endeavors.
Besides Camp, Jon attends Jacksonville State University and he is majoring in recreation. He loves watching movies in his free time. An interesting fact about Jon is that he lives on a farm with a bunch of cows!
