This week we are getting to know our 2019 summer program staff. Meet Leanna Ritchie! Leanna is from Birmingham, Alabama and will be a lifeguard this summer.
Leanna learned about Camp ASCCA from a friend in college who is actually a counselor here! This is her first summer working at Camp. Her favorite part about Camp is getting to meet the campers and being able to sit down with them at meals and having the opportunity to talk and get to know them.
Leanna is most looking forward to being able to connect with people that she would not normally have the ability to. “I want to gain relationships this summer, these relationships are unlike anything else; this is an experience of a lifetime,” she says.
When Leanna is not at Camp she attends Berry College and she studies psychology. She loves reading in a hammock, kayaking and spending time at the lake. An interesting fact about Leanna is that she has been scuba diving with Bull sharks!
Located in Alabama on Lake Martin, Camp ASCCA offers campers a wide variety of traditional recreational and educational activities with a unique design for accessibility.
