This week we are still getting to know our 2019 summer program staff. Meet Nick Sissa! Nick is from Birmingham, Alabama and he will be a unit leader this summer along with being a lifeguard. This will be his fifth summer at Camp ASCCA.
Nick hopes to gain a better perspective on life, as this will be his last full summer working at ASCCA. He of course wants to make it count. His favorite part about Camp is seeing the impact that you can make on people’s lives.
“My goal as well as everyone else’s is to make sure they have the best time, the best summer, the best week of their life,” says Nick. “When you see the smile on the camper’s face it makes all the dirt you’re digging, the paths you’ve smoothed, and all the dirty work, it makes it worth while.”
Aside from Camp, Nick recently graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in telecommunication and film, specializing in sports broadcasting with a minor in creative writing. In his free time Nick enjoys working out, running and resting after a long week at Camp. An interesting fact about Nick is that he is Greek!
