This week we are getting to know our program staff for summer 2019. Meet Tommie Harris! Tommie is from Hamilton, Alabama, and he will be floating around to all of the programs. He will be anywhere from aquatics to adventure and even outdoor education.
This will be Tommie’s fifth summer at Camp ASCCA. His favorite part about Camp has been being on program staff and getting to see a different side of everything and interact with all of the campers. “Camp is like an escape to me. It’s like a break from the real world,” he says.
Besides Camp, Tommie is a special education teacher. He also loves catching up on his sleep, working out and playing video games. An interesting fact about Tommie is that he played football in college and was the long snapper!
Located in Alabama on Lake Martin, Camp ASCCA offers campers a wide variety of traditional recreational and educational activities with a unique design for accessibility.
