The beginning of summer means that it’s time to get to know our 2024 Program Staff members! Today, we introduce you to a new face, Avery Royal!
Avery is from Greenville, Alabama, and is a rising junior at Troy University, pursuing a degree in rehabilitation and disability studies. In the future, she hopes to do vocational rehabilitation or special education.
Avery joins us as a member of our outdoor education program staff, and she’ll be running the demo farm! She grew up loving the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and has family members who have cows and chickens.
Avery heard about this position through friends of friends who had previously worked here, and she knew that it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. She is looking forward to the experience she will gain from working here, and it plays a hand in her future career. Avery is also excited to experience an ASCCA Series Concert! She is eager for the opportunity to serve others and give back!
A fun fact about Avery is that she shares a birthday with her mom.
