The beginning of summer means that it’s time to get to know our 2024 Program Staff members! Today, we introduce you to a newcomer, Kendall Kaiser!
Kendall is from Katy, Texas, and is joining our program staff as the arts & crafts director! Kendall is a recent graduate from Auburn University with a degree in rehabilitation and disabilities studies. She will soon begin graduate school at Auburn and get her masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. In the future, Kendall hopes to open a day center for adults, half of the center dedicated to a garden. She has a passion for people with disabilities and wants to share her love for plants with them!
Kendall heard about Camp ASCCA while working at the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama. She constantly heard all the stories that participants and staff told and wanted to experience it for herself! She attended summer camps when she was younger and now has the chance to work at one. It feels like a full-circle moment. Kendall says, “I want to grow the joy in my life. I look forward to the lifelong friendships I’ll make and all the joy that will follow.”
One thing to know about Kendall is that her platonic soulmate is Jack Black.
