Monday at zipline we got to experience a million dollar moment. Here at Camp when a camper is unable to ride the ziplines alone, we execute a double ride, this is where a staff member rides down with the camper. This double ride showcased not just the excitement of the zipline but also the power of teamwork and inclusion. The joy on their face was unmatched, and having the opportunity to watch one of the very few double rides that takes place throughout the summer was surreal.
Experiences like this is the pure essence of Camp ASCCA, this is our why. To enable and encourage people to push beyond their limits and experience the thrill of adventure, no matter the obstacle they face. Watching this double ride was a powerful reminder of what makes Camp ASCCA so special. It is a place for everyone. It’s these moments that truly capture the spirit of camp, where inclusion and adventure go hand in hand.
