Pilots Day 2017

Today, we were joined by Alabama Pilots Club members from throughout the state. Each summer, we host an annual “Pilots Day” where members visit Camp, spend the morning taking a tour around the campus, and finish the visit off with a delicious lunch alongside the ASCCA campers and staff.

The Alabama Pilots have served Camp for many years by helping fund a variety of activities such as putt-putt, boat rides, boat renovations, and much more. They most recently helped save the Camp ASCCA pool with a donation of $4,000 after the pump system burst and a replacement system was needed. The Pilots’ generous contributions over the years have amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

During today’s tours, we were joined by Pilot members from Gadsden, Andalusia, Prattville, Cullman, and Decatur. Each member was invested in learning more about camp and the people we serve, and they were all excited to return for next year’s “Pilots Day” and are planning to jump in and try out a few activities. We cannot thank the Alabama Pilots enough for their continued support and love for Camp ASCCA!
