This past week, with help from our friends, we were able to get the green fields planted for our yearly family deer hunts here at Camp ASCCA. The Tallapoosa County Alabama Farmers Federation donated money for the seed and some members from the Tallapoosa County Longbeards as well as the Tallapoosa County Quality Deer Management came out with their equipment and planted the fields. We are so thankful to have such great sponsors and volunteers.
The Camp ASCCA Family Deer Hunts are for children and adults who are physically disabled. It is an opportunity for them to get out into the woods and hopefully harvest a nice buck. Our large shooting houses, beautiful green fields, and barrier-free camp facilities provide a wonderful hunting opportunity not to be missed.
