As always, our sessions start off with a pool party for half our campers the first night. Since they had been on buses with each other for a few hours on their way to camp, all our campers were friends already and had an amazing night!
At the pool party, many of the campers and counselors played ball with the hoops on the side of the pool. One camper stayed in the pool playing ball until the very last minute she could.
Some campers floated in tubes, and a lot just chilled on the pool steps.
A few campers and staff went above the pool to the gym to play basketball instead of swimming but made sure to come to the deck every once in awhile to socialize with everyone.
Our night activities usually end at 8:15 but they were extended tonight to give our campers more time to have fun since they didn’t get here until five. The last half hour of pool party ended up being a dance party instead. With songs by Fergie and Michael Jackson playing, who wouldn’t dance?
