Push Camp 2012

Push Camp is a program of Push America, “the national outreach project of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, serving the disabled throughout the United States.” It is a program that provides financial assistance through construction grants as well as the labor force for the projects.

Forty young college men and alumni came to Camp ASCCA on March 4-8, 2012. The grouped worked on many projects including building a shed at the splash pad, constructing a fence at the new sports field, and painting the newly renovated boys cabins and dining hall.

At the end of the week, Push Camp Facilitator Jon Davis presented Camp Director Matt Rickman with a grant of $7,500! This was the 19th year for the Camp ASCCA-Push America relationship.

The men also enjoyed a day to experience Camp ASCCA’s activities with a group from the Randolph County Learning Center, who visited for the day.
