We had a rainy start to our first full day of Session 7 here at Camp ASCCA. This is one of the main setbacks at a summer camp, so we are very well prepared! While it may not have been the start we were expecting, we made sure to have fun no matter what!
Rainy mornings mean games in the Dining Hall! After everyone finished breakfast, we played games like Bingo and Uno, as well as crafts like coloring and making friendship bracelets. No matter what the campers chose to do, they had a smile on their face the entire time! If you entered the room, you would have no clue this wasn’t the original plan purely because of how much fun the campers were having!
Bingo was definitely a fan favorite of the morning. Almost every camper had a bingo card, and all of them were filled with excitement at the thought of getting a bingo! Once a camper got a bingo, they were able to either come to the front table to collect a prize or play the claw machine to win a prize from there.
In other areas of the Dining Hall, campers happily colored and created bracelets. This was something super fun to pass the time while we waited out the rain. The campers got to be so creative with each activity, and it was so amazing to see! For the rest of the day, the campers sported their new jewelry and showed everyone their beautiful colorings!

We eventually waited out the rain and were able to get to our second rotation of the morning! Playing games and crafting was such an amazing way to start Session 7, even if it was not the original plan. This truly showed that no matter what we are doing, the campers always have fun while at Camp!
