There are other sites providing terrific information for outdoor education programs. We want to interact with, and learn from, them all.
One resource that I particularly enjoy is Google’s Outdoor Education Group.
Recent posts address issues like “…advice on assisting a wheelchair bound spina-bifida patient access (to) a flying fox platform?” Now, where else are you going to find answers to a question like that? 🙂
We know, of course, as we have our treehouse and high adventure ropes course with adaptation to accomplish this very task. We also have miles of nature trails (some over the water) adapted for wheelchairs.
Other posts address questions about teacher training, other outdoor education blogs and jobs.
Check out Google’s Outdoor Education Group. I think you’ll enjoy it.
