Rising Temperatures Increase Attendance at Water Activites

Session 4

It was certainly another scorcher today here at camp, but our campers and counselors found several ways to keep cool. Usually our afternoon sessions are reserved for “free choice” activities in which campers get to decide which activity they would like to participate in with their counselor. Some of these activities require a sign-up, while others are open for all of free choice period.

Today free choice activities included the pool, tennis, fishing, splash pad, cargo net, Wii room, Game room, Gym, putt-putt, extreme riflery and canoeing. Because of today’s high temperatures most campers chose to spend their afternoon at the water activities. Our biggest hit? The pool. At one point today we had over 60 campers and counselors trying to cool off at the pool.

Tomorrow looks like it’s going to be another hot day, but fortunately we have several options for our campers and counselors to keep cool.
Make sure to check our Flickr for photos every day!
