Yesterday was the last full day of Camp ASCCA, and there were tears and smiles all around. It started out as just a normal day with rain, but last night, Mother Nature was on our side. There was rain almost everyday this week, so a lot of our outdoor activities were more wet than normal. However, that didn’t stop the campers from having the time of their lives!
We had an amazing band perform for us called Party of the Year, and they are a part of the Black Jacket Symphony! They did all types of covers such as “We Are Family”, “Hey Ya!” by OutKast, as well as “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake. There was so much dancing going on, and the performers even interacted with the campers. They had energy throughout the entire night which definitely made the campers feel amazing. They truly rocked the Big Stage and the campers until they couldn’t dance anymore!
We also had Alexander City’s very own Taco Bar for dinner! The tacos were amazing again, and it was totally worth the wait.
