March 11th was RYLA Day for me! I look forward to seeing RYLA at Camp ASCCA each and every year. RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and the program is held annually at Camp ASCCA. Participants are elected by their local Rotary clubs. This year there were close to 100 participants.
The reason I enjoy speaking with the RYLA kids is because they show an exceptional curiosity and generally aren’t afraid to ask questions. By the time I finish speaking, the presentation has usually turned into a conversation about Camp ASCCA and disability awareness issues in general. This year was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and always appreciate the opportunity to be involved.
