Wednesday night Camp ASCCA had our first concert of Summer 2023! The band Happy Landing played at the BcK4T for campers and staff. The band started playing and the people started dancing.
The concert was an hour and a half of fun music, slushies, and popcorn. These tasty snacks gave everyone energy as the music kept playing. The band played some original songs but also covers of “Yellow” by Coldplay and “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Happy Landing was very interactive as they high-fived and talked to campers and staff during their show. A guitarist from Happy Landing even hopped down in the middle of the crowd of campers and danced with them. As the night was ending, Happy Landing agreed to play one more song for Camp ASCCA. They decided to play “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey which was a perfect way to end the night.
At the end of the concert, Happy Landing sang the Goodnight Song with the campers and staff. They also hung around to take pictures and talk to campers individually. It was a memorable night after a fun day of camp!
