This session’s campers have been busy all week with loads of activities to choose from. One of our free choice activities here at Camp is #TerryTime with Kris. Terry is a bearded dragon who resides here at Camp ASCCA. Terry is about five years old, and she has met many campers over the years.
#TerryTime is run by a member of our outdoor education program staff, Kris Shelby. This fall, Kris will be in his senior year at Mississippi State University studying Wildlife Fisheries and Aquaculture. During #TerryTime, campers get to sit one-on-one with Terry as Kris introduces her and gives information about her species.
Terry is a five-year-old Central Bearded Dragon. One of her guilty pleasures is to eat a big pile of mealworms despite their lack of nutritional value. A bearded dragon’s diet typically consists of earthworms, insects, fruits, and vegetables.
Terry is a very gentle bearded dragon who is very open to meeting new people. Terry loves to hang out with people, and she is very affectionate.
#TerryTime is just one of several interesting activities we have had throughout Session One. To see more pictures of Terry, click here.
