Today we started going through our daily program rotations where campers go to various activities with their assigned groups. These activities include ziplining, the demo farm, arts and crafts, tubing, and more.
Today, several campers were able to take a ride over Lake Martin with our Aquatics Program Specialist, Justin Hammers. Campers sat inside the tube alongside their counselor and a member of our program staff and experienced a thrilling ride to kick off their week.
While many campers have been on the tube several times over the years, there were still some campers who were a bit hesitant to step out of their comfort zone. Despite their reluctance, campers faced their fears, got in the tube, and realized there was absolutely nothing to be worried about once they got going. Some campers even said tubing ended up being their favorite activity!
After campers got in the tube, Justin took them on a fun ride over the waves of Lake Martin.
Our campers prove to us over and over again that there is nothing too big to overcome. Even though life can throw us many challenges, sometimes it is best to just enjoy the ride!
