Session two of Camp ASCCA Summer 2023 has officially begun! Campers arrived around 2 p.m. to check in and settle into their cabins where they met their counselors. While waiting for all the other campers, staff had fun activities like sidewalk chalk and the photo booth to help pass the time. Once everyone arrived, campers headed to the dining hall for group pictures. Each camper got a picture with their counselor and other campers who are in their group for the rest of the week. It didn’t take long for new friends to be made!
After group pictures, campers and staff flooded into the dining hall for their first meal at camp. Tonight’s dinner included pizza, lemonade, and a salad bar which made everyone full and happy! While finishing dinner, Camp Director Matt Rickman welcomed everyone to Camp and explained what the schedule is for the rest of the night.
Campers began to head to the BcK4T for the first-night party! The BcK4T provides sofas, arcade games, and a big movie screen for campers to relax and have fun. Campers used this time to get to know each other and relax before a full week of camp. Soon, it was time for everyone to go back to the cabins for a good nights sleep!
