Session 3: Painting Stars

Campers painting their stars!

This morning during rotations several campers participated in arts and crafts. Keeping to the Fourth of July theme, campers made star-wands! Excited to make something new, campers quickly took their seats and began their crafts.

First, campers were handed a homemade star glued together by popsicle sticks. In front of them was a plate of red, white, and blue paint for them to use. Each camper painted their stars and each star looked unique. Soon enough it was time for glitter! Every star soon sparkled like real stars after campers added the glitter. Once everyone was happy with their stars, they glued a paper straw to red, white, and blue ribbons and then finally added the star. Everyone had a smile on their face as their star-wand was complete! Campers had a great time making something new and spending time with friends.

The finished product.

Just because the Fourth of July was yesterday doesn’t mean Camp ASCCA stops celebrating! Campers enjoyed making crafts related to the holiday and can’t wait to show their friends. Making star-wands is a great way to make memories while enjoying Independence Day.
