We have a very special sister duo here at Camp this week! Elle and Kate Hughes are both at Camp this week, and they are ready to have the best week together!
Kate is one of our beloved campers who has returned year after year! She has been coming to Camp ASCCA annually for about six years now. Kate absolutely loves being around water! Her favorite Camp activities are tubing and going to the pool!
Kate’s older sister Elle is one of our amazing counselors here at Camp. In 2021, Elle started as a counselor-in-training (CIT), and she returned as a counselor in the summer of 2022. Elle is back at Camp for her third summer in a row! She knew from a young age that she would want to be part of Camp ASCCA as soon as she was old enough to.
“When I was about 13 years old, my family and I dropped Kate off for her first year at Camp,” Elle said. “I immediately fell in love with the place and was just overwhelmed with the kindness the staff showed to Kate and our family.”
Both Elle and Kate are so thankful for the impact that Camp ASCCA has had on their whole family.
“After Kate returned home, I could tell her experience at Camp had a great impact on her! In just a week, she was so much more mature and had grown so much,” Elle says. “I knew when I worked at Camp ASCCA it would also have a huge effect on me, as well as how I view the world and every person I meet.”
We are absolutely thrilled that Elle and Kate are part of the Camp ASCCA family. We are so excited to see them have an amazing time together this week!
