It’s only the first full day of camp for session six and campers have already had loads of fun! From tubing to petting farm animals, Camp ASCCA hosts many different kinds of activities for campers and staff to enjoy throughout the week. We asked a few people from session six to tell us what they think about all the fun!
During arts and crafts earlier, camper Sam was making a beaded necklace and was excited to tell us about his experience at Camp ASCCA. When asked what is favorite part of camp has been so far, Sam explained how he loved the pool and swimming with his friends. Sam is most excited to watch a movie in the BcK4T tomorrow and he says Camp ASCCA makes him think of friendship.
Camper Lindsey has loved hanging out with her counselor, Hayley, for the past two days. Lindsey did not hesitate to tell us she can’t wait to sing “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys with counselor Jackson tomorrow at the talent show. She closed with Camp makes her think about all the lifelong friendships she’s made over the summer.
Of course we can’t forget about our staff! Not only is Camp ASCCA fun for campers but for everyone! It’s counselor Timmy’s first summer at ASCCA and he says Camp is already his “happy place”. His favorite part of Camp has been working with all the amazing campers and staff and he can’t wait for the rest of the summer!
Camp ASCCA holds a special place in many people’s hearts. From people who have been here for only one summer to people who have been coming for decades, it is clear Camp ASCCA is a special place to so many people!
