we’re hunting deer!
The Camp ASCCA December Family Deer Hunt was held the 4th – 6th of this month. This deer hunt, and it’s sister in January, have been held at camp for many years now and everyone always has a great time!
The hunters arrive on Friday night and have a lesson on hunter and gun safety, then hang out and get to know their hunting guides for the weekend. Then on Saturday morning we head out to the shooting ranges for some friendly competition between hunter/guide pairs. They compete in archery, riflery, and skeet shooting. After lunch on Saturday and all day Sunday are spent in the woods hunting. Some wonderful hunters got to visit us this past hunt and we are looking forward to the January Family Deer Hunt!!!
