Today, our sports campers spent the beautiful afternoon on the water! Everyone had chance to go sit skiing; a sport unique to our sports camp here at ASCCA.
Campers sit in a chair-like seat that is attached to a ski and are pulled behind our ski boat. The ski board is created for upper body balance more so than relying on the lower body to steer; these features allow our campers with wheelchairs to participate in a classic water activity.
All of the campers were great at this activity, but it was definitely a challenge! I enjoyed watching them as they sailed across the water with smiles from ear to ear!
