There’s nothing quite like the sound of joy echoing through the trees. Today, that sound was unmistakable as our campers took flight on Camp ASCCA’s legendary Giant Swing! This exhilarating experience had hearts racing and spirits soaring as campers, strapped securely into harnesses, were hoisted high into the air by our incredible adventure program staff. With a triumphant pull of the release cord, they went swooping through the sky, laughing, cheering, and feeling the ultimate rush of freedom.
For many the Giant Swing was a personal victory. First-time swingers stepped up with nervous excitement, only to finish their ride with tremendous pride. Some campers squeezed their eyes shut at first, only to burst into giggles as the wind rushed past. Others flung their arms wide, embracing every amazing moment. And of course, plenty of voices could be heard shouting as soon as their feet left the ground.
