Splish Splash!

It was the first day of Session 4 here at Camp ASCCA. The campers and parents arrived on time ready to check in and drop off. This was one of the most organized and fast check-in days ever. I always thought it was interesting because I take photos at the photo booth before heading to the dining hall, so you would think I would see all the campers and families before they checked in. That is false, I may see thirty percent of the campers, and then when I take camper counselor photos, there are more than sixty kids all around. So I’m always surprised to see which campers are here and who are not.

For the first night of Session 4, we had a pool party for half the cabins and talent show for the other half. The pool party was an epic splash! Every camper enjoyed themselves because they could just float around with their counselors with no cares in the world. It was just them and the water. Campers are required to take a swim test at pool parties, so that they can have a special wristband throughout the week. Everyone is allowed in the pool! If they do not pass the swim test, they simply have to wear a life jacket.
