Alabama Elks Association makes Camp ASCCA its major charitable project

The Alabama Elks Association has made Camp ASCCA its major charitable project. As one of the fundraiser to benefit Camp, they will be having a Alabama Elks state cook-off planned for October 8-9, 2010 at the Bessemer Elks Lodge.

Your can sign up for the “Stoke and Smoke Cook-off”! The goal is to have 20 teams in the contest. Registration for a team is $100 and can consist of one or more persons, and it is not restricted to Elk members.

Big Green Egg out of Georgia has graciously agreed to donate a large cooker valued at over $1,000 as the Grand Champion prize for the cook-off! Other place and category prizes will be made.

Grand Prize- Big Green Egg (large size) and accessories valued at $1000 +
Prizes for 2nd and 3rd overall points will be announced at the registration site.

The Golden Pig Trophy will be awarded to the Elks Lodge sponsoring the Grand Prize Winner.
$100 entry fee if paid by 8-30-10, thereafter $125 Pre-register to have cook site Priority.
